Race number 13.
Bad luck for someone and luck for Max this time!
Max Karhan from the Lukamotorsport team, with the starting number #225, completed the fourth race of the WSK Super Masters series at the Cremona circuit in Italy. During his first season in the OK class he gained further valuable experience here.
„The competition in this championship is the biggest in the world and I am very happy to be racing here and gaining experience,“ Max summed up the race.
Wednesday
Max completed four free practice sessions during the first day of racing. This was done while comparing data from February’s testing at this track, where Max stopped on his way to the race in Naples.
During Thursday, the second day at the Cremona circuit, there was still room for improvement. Mechanics Honzík and Luki, along with the Macháč family, from whom Max got the engines, did an excellent job. Max was satisfied with the technique after a full day of testing.
Friday
On Friday, thanks to the timing system, the times of the competitors in the morning official practice were shown. Max’s gap to the fastest rider in the field was just 0.5 seconds, which is extremely small in this competition. There was a sense of satisfaction in the team. A timed practice session followed, with a shootout to decide the Heat A, B, C and D eliminators. Max finished 24th and was placed in heat C.
Max finished the first Heat in an excellent 13th place and the second Heat in 22nd place.
Saturday
Saturday continued with the morning Warm-up, during which Max set the 6th best time overall. This was an opportunity to test technique before the next race.
This was followed by another Heat in which Max finished in 20th place. In the last Heat of the evening he finished in 16th place!
Sunday
Sunday also started with the morning Warm-up, during which the car was checked. Everything worked perfectly.
For the pre-final heat, Max took row 12 on the grid, after totaling points from the Heats before, and finished the race in a great 13th place!
But it wasn’t enough to advance to the superfinal. The packing began and preparations began for the journey towards the Czech Republic, where the next race for Max, this time the „Champions of the Future“, would take place the following weekend.
Max and his mechanics were happy with the result and left Cremona with smiles on their faces.
Thanks especially to our partners, mechanics and the Macháč Motors team!
